My Nail Story

I've never been really into doing anything to my nails before, I always just didn't see the point. However, in January my sister dragged me along to one of her nail appointments and because I was there, I decided to get mine done. And now I'm hooked.
I get shellac nail paint over my natural nails which have really encouraged them to grow and now they're the longest and strongest they've ever been. I go to my nail technician Nails By Alicia (who is the loveliest person you could ever meet) every two weeks to keep my nails in tact. I would highly recommend shellac to anyone who is thinking of growing their nails because normal polish tends to chip really easily.

Do any of you have a nail story, I'd be interested to hear them :)

My River Island wedding guest wishlist by abigailsusanmiles

As many of you might know after reading this post that my cousin is getting married on Easter Sunday. Instead of heading straight to the shops, I decided to peruse the internet for inspiration. At the moment, River Island have got an amazing collection of dresses perfect for any occasion and these are the three that I love the most. Can't wait to go and try them on! All outfit details can be found on my set on polyvore.

My Music Obsession: James Bay

I've wanted to write a post on this guy for ages, and now I've finally got around to doing it.
James Bay is the latest musical sensation who is tipped for big things this year after bagging this years Brit's critics choice award. He is a singer/songwriter whose songs have a blues-rock feel, which is made even more intense by his wonderfully husky voice. His look of shoulder-length brown hair, the wide-brimmed hat (which he seems to never take off) and his perfectly chiselled cheekbones seems to have created a signature for him, so much so that it landed him a performance at Burberry Fashion Week in September last year.
I first saw him perform live in February 2014 when he was supporting Tom Odell in Wolverhampton. I absolutely loved his performance and I started listening to his music. I brought his first two EPs (The Dark of the Morning and Let it go) and literally did not stop listening to them for a good couple of months. I then went to see him on his first solo tour in Birmingham in November and was given the privilege of meeting him. He is such a genuinely nice guy who deserves all the credit he has been getting over the last few months. So far, he has released three EPs and has an album coming out on Monday 23rd March, which I am extremely excited for. His newest single 'Hold back the River' peaked at Number 8 on the UK singles chart.
This guy has big things coming this year, and he undoubtedly is poised for greatness.

The Hen-Do

Dress: H&M
Necklace: Topshop

Last Saturday evening, I went out to Birmingham for my cousins hen-do. It was my mom's first time out clubbing since she was my age but she loved it! We went to a bar called reflex which plays really cheesy music and serves really good cocktails. I love the dress that I brought from H&M, it's really fitting to my figure and is suitable for a night out without being too revealing. The photos all came out really nice and I had a really great time.
If you want any details of what the other girls wore, ask and I'll let you know.

Loving: H&M Activewear

As you might have previously read, I'm focusing on being more active lately. It's not that I want to lose any weight, it's just that I'd like to be able to run for more than 30 seconds without losing my breath and feeling like I'm going to die. My main aim of keeping fit is to build up more muscle and have a bit more definition to my body.
Through the course of my blog I will be writing about my development and I will be posting photos and quite possibly videos of my fitness routine. If this is something you guys would be interested in seeing, let me know and I'll make more effort to write posts of this style.
Since I have made an effort to be more active, I thought why not treat myself to more active-wear? I didn't want to splurge out on anything expensive like Nike or Adidas so I thought I'd head to the highstreet. H&M have a lovely sportswear range with loads of different items specific to the type of activity you're doing, such as yoga-specific, running-specific and outdoor-specific. I brought a lovely low support sports bra (which I'm pictured in above) for £12.99, this patterned sports top for £7.99 and these sports tights for £14.99. I love all these items, they fit perfectly and they serve the purpose for the type of fitness I do.
All I need now is a good pair of trainers. Any recommendations?
